Using a Classical theme and variation style, I've sought to communicate the diversity and beauty of nature, as depicted so well in Mrs. Cecil Alexander's lyric. Gently flowing melodic lines, trills, and changing registers all help to portray the variety of God's creation - colorful flowers, tiny birds, purple mountains, flowing rivers, sunsets, cold winds, summer sun, harvest, etc. All of these clearly point to our wise and gracious Creator.

In the opening and closing theme of the arrangement, I've imagined young children laughing and playing. These sweet, innocent voices best proclaim, "How great is God Almighty, Who has made all things well."
