This piece is characterized by a strongly syncopated melody played against a steady, march-like accompaniment typical of the ragtime style. You can hear the hustle and bustle of a busy farm in the opening theme. Intricate finger-work, clef and key changes, numerous accidentals, and "color" chords make it a technical challenge, but a rewarding accomplishment for the late intermediate student.
